Friends are not realy Friends

I realized today that friends are not really friends. The good ones are rare and we always know who they are, but for the others.... they are actually uncaring individuals who at any moment will thrust a dagger right in your heart or in your back, depending on the direction you are standing! If they want something you have, they will go to great lengths to gain it. Even if it costs you everything. By everything, I mean, your integrity, dignity and yes, even your job! It can strip you to nothing, leave you naked and vulnerable, even if you are not at fault, you ARE the perpetrator and not the victim. How can this be? When did the rules change? I am amazed and confused and ..... yes, a bit angry that people want to destroy your very existence for no known reason and can do so with one single solitary action. POOF! you are done! Gone, Fenito!
The daggers have been thrust and you have NO recourse! Even though you are innocent, you are out the door! Just like that! That is the American way! Complete and uncut!
Who do you trust? What do you say? Whom can you say it to? It is an abomination! A crime of such magnitude! I live in America,(last time I looked!) Land of the Free, Home to the Brave.... excetera, excetera...Why does everyone else have the freedom to express what they want to whom they want, but the minute, the very minute you say anything, it's post office time and never make sure the information is correct! So by the time it gets to people of authority, it is so blown out of proportion, that the original act ever so innocent, becomes a volcano! Who died and made them God? AH! But God is not heartless! "Friends" are! God does not change the story and God knows who did! My grandmother, once told me..... It is easier to remember the truth, than it is to remember the lie! Lies change each time you tell it, Truth never changes, but not always acknowledged. How sad! To live their life built on lies and allow them to have such power over your life! Is it worth it? Now.............. I understand! Sad, isn't it?
